Burning Questions

How come when I lay down on my couch I have to shield my eyes from the ceiling fan's retina burning light scorching down from up above? I know mankind posses the optical technology to have light without focus or whatever. I see it in use every time I go to the dentist or get operated on in the hospital.

And why can't they make a dishwasher that will wash dishes in like 10 minutes? Why does starting the dishwasher have to be a two hour commitment to low-hum-ruckus?

Wii News

I just realized I can download world news on my Wii. It is fascinating. Did you know?

1) Key people from the US will be missing from a UN/World Bank conference regarding money given to foreign poor countries. Apparently there is a treaty in place for us to do so. Apparently right now we don't care.

2) Did you know it is illegal to deny the holocaust in England?

3) China is upset with Guns-n-Roses over their new CD. (It’s funny to me that a news censoring government uses the free press to gripe.)

4) (What is sure to be David’s favorite) The Canada Supreme Court ruled that airlines have to supply an extra seat at no additional cost to obese people.

5) Indonesia is going to put tracking microchips in people with AIDS.

6) A suicide bomber bombered outside a conference in Iraq where we were to discuss the terms of staying there three more years. Yep. You read right. Apparently, right now, democrat or republican in office, we know, at least, three more years.

7) (My irksomely favorite) “China now owns over half-a-trillion dollars in US government bonds, more than any other country, and Washington NEEDS Beijing to continue buying them to help finance the national debt and the $700 billion financial industry bailout.” There is more to the article and it all makes me go O-M-G!!!

7a) Did you know that Obama called for Bush to boycott the recent Olympics?
